IMPORTANT: READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PROVIDING ANY INFORMATION AT THIS WEBSITE
Here are the types of information we gather:
We receive and store any information you enter on this Site or give us in any other way. While you are not required to give us any personally identifiable information to access this Site, in order for you to access certain specialized services, you may be required to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. “Personally identifiable information” or “personal information” refers to any information that identifies or can be used to contact or locate you such as name, mailing address, phone number, and email address. However, you always have the option not to provide personal information by choosing not to use a particular feature of this Site.
Examples of the information we collect automatically include the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet and computer and connection information such as browser type, version, and time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system, and platform. Information collected automatically does not personally identify you but we may use it to track usage of the Site and to improve your experience on the Site.
We may collect information from you in several different areas on the Site, including but not limited to those described below:
We periodically operate contests and sweepstakes through the Website that will require registration or the submission of personal information. Your personally identifiable information may be used to contact you for winner notification, prize delivery confirmation or other related purposes such as related e-blasts from the Philly Holiday Experience or our sponsors.
An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the web. Web servers identify your computer by its IP address. We may collect IP addresses for the purposes of system administration, to report aggregate information to our advertisers, and to audit the use of this Site. When you request a page from this Site, our servers log your IP addresses. As mentioned above, other information, including, without limitation, browser and time zone is also collected.
We store information using reasonable security procedures to help protect against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access to the information you provide to us. When you enter personally identifiable information, we encrypt the transmission of that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Please note that no data transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your information and privacy, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you disclose or transmit to us and cannot be responsible for the theft, destruction, or inadvertent disclosure of your information. We will retain your information for up to ninety (90) days after the Event or as needed to provide you the services related to your PHE experience, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, after which time, your information is deleted.
With your prior permission, we may share your information with select business partners so that they can provide you with special offers, promotional materials, and other materials that may be of interest to you. For example, you may be presented with an opportunity to have certain information shared with our third party business partners when you enter a contest or sweepstakes or elect to receive marketing offers or other information. If you do not elect to have your information shared, it will not be shared with such third parties. We take measures to help ensure that our partners protect the confidentiality, integrity, and security of any information we share with them. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices of our business partners, which may use your information for their own purposes.
